A small gift shop, with very unique merchandise, is located inside a very unique, local museum. How do you attract customers, beside museum-goers, to frequent it?
Invent its own individual identity and market it as a boutique gift shop.
Reese thinkers created provocative, one-word headlines and used them in small space newspaper ads to intrigue shoppers. The strategy was to name the store The Museum Shop and feature items in the ads to communicate the unique "gift" concept.
Now, new shoppers at the store, discover "Hey, there's a whole museum here, too. Wow!"
